Teaching Program
Elementary Mathematics Education Undergraduate Program curriculum; In addition to students' mathematical knowledge on different fields of mathematics (Abstract Mathematics, Analysis, Philosophy of Mathematics, etc.) and mathematic’s education courses (Instructional Technologies, Special Teaching Methods, etc.), it also includes teaching profession knowledge courses, which include the basic competencies of teaching. In addition, the program includes general culture lessons (Community Service Practices, History of Mathematics, etc.) for students' teaching profession and primary school mathematics teaching profession.
Regarding the exams and course grades, the relevant articles of the "Associate Degree-Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulation" are applied. Teacher candidates have to attend classes, practices and exams. According to the education regulations of our faculty, the contribution of a midterm and a final exam to the success grade is 40% and 60%, respectively. In the evaluation of the course; "AA 4.00", "BA 3.50", "BB 3.00", "CB 2.50", "CC 2", "DC 1.50", "DD 1.00", "FF 0 , 00 ”,“ M (Exempted) ”,“ G (Pass) ”and“ Z (Discontinued) ”. Students who successfully complete all of the courses available in the program (equivalent to a total of 243 ECTS) and achieve a minimum 2.0 grade point average out of 4.00 are awarded a bachelor's degree.

- Have the skills of mathematical communication, problem solving, reasoning and relating and uses them effectively in the education and training process.
- Have sufficient knowledge about the area and side areas.
- Knows and applies the acquisitions in primary education mathematics curriculum according to grade levels.
- Have sufficient knowledge about pedagogical knowledge and the structure and historical development of the Turkish Education System.
- Knows the developmental characteristics of students and applies the appropriate scientific teaching-method techniques with effective planning and material development.
- Have and use the necessary knowledge and skills about students who need special attention and education.
- Be able to systematically classify the problem and also generate reasonable, understandable and objective solutions.
- Can think creatively and critically. Takes responsibility in individual and group work.
- Uses the evaluation results for a better education, shares the results with students, families, management and teachers.
